What is the difference between room booking and office hoteling/hot-desking?

  • May 16, 2022

The reservation process for both types of activities is identical. The difference is in the classification of the rooms being reserved. Rooms classified for “office hoteling” or desks classified for “hot desking” can only be booked by individual hybrid workers, who share these rooms/desks with each other. Hybrid-designated rooms tend to be individual office spaces or desks within cubicles or open office spaces. Standard room bookings, on the other hand, tend to be meeting rooms for multiple office workers and their guests/patients, such as conference rooms, therapy rooms, or patient exam rooms.
